New Patient Paperwork
When you arrive, we'll have you complete some brief new patient paperwork. This provides us with important information about your health history, current symptoms, and the reason for your visit.
Consultation
You'll meet one-on-one with your doctor to discuss what brought you into the office. We'll talk about your current symptoms, how they are affecting your daily life, previous injuries or treatments, your health history, and what you hope to accomplish with care. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.
Same-Day Treatment
When appropriate, you may receive your first treatment during your initial visit. Treatment will depend on your examination findings and individual needs and may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and/or supportive therapies. In some cases, your doctor may recommend additional testing, diagnostic imaging, or further evaluation before beginning treatment. Your safety always comes first.
Your Follow-Up Visit
Before leaving, we'll help you schedule your next appointment. During your follow-up, your doctor will review your findings, answer your questions, discuss treatment recommendations, and outline a plan designed around your condition and your goals.
Your First Visit
Your first visit is all about getting to know you, understanding what's bothering you, and determining the best approach to your care. Plan on approximately 30–60 minutes for your initial appointment. Our goal is to make your first visit comfortable, straightforward, and informative from the moment you walk through the door.
What to Expect at Align-Mindt Chiropractic
Insurance & Payment
If you are using insurance, please bring your insurance card and a valid photo ID to your first appointment. Our office will collect your insurance information and assist with determining your chiropractic benefits. We also welcome patients who prefer to pay directly for their care. Please ask us about our current self-pay options and accepted forms of payment.
History & Examination
Next, your doctor will perform an examination based on your individual condition. Depending on your symptoms, this may include a spinal examination, range-of-motion testing, orthopedic testing, neurological testing, posture or movement assessment, and other appropriate clinical evaluations. The purpose is to better understand your condition and determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.
At-Home Recommendations
Before you leave, your doctor may provide recommendations to help you between visits. Depending on your condition, these may include ice or heat, activity modifications, stretches, mobility exercises, or other home-care recommendations.
